Intro
The BCM in the on-campus extension of the local church. Today, the majority of students are simply hostile to
Christianity, to the name of Jesus and his church.
How do we reach these people?
1. Change the perception.

There is a negative perception of who Christians are. There is a definition of us as to what we are against that who we follow. Matthew 5:13-16. This is the challenge. We are not a salt shaker on the shelf. In response to this we tend to go to two extremes. We compromise the gospel to not offend, we lose our saltiness. On the other hand, we build walls to protect and refuse to mix and be that salt, or to be that light. In short we sit on the shelf, and hide under the bushel.

So how do we change the perception?
Romans 10:9
2. Communicate the gospel.

We have been sent. When is the last you have shared the gospel. Furthermore is what we are sharing the gospel? Is what we are preaching salt without any saltiness.

3. Connect to community.
In surveys 2 out of 3 people would go to church at least once if invited by a friend or family. Not only to we not seek others ought, so often we fail to actually disciple them once they are here.
Acts 2:42-47. - remember the early church.

4. Commission the called.
So few in the church know why they believe what they believe. We are failing in so many ways to prepare ourselves and others to articulate this truth. If we truly love God with all we are, we will be interested in what he is, in what he loves. We will have a hunger for his word and commands. We must be always in preparation for ourselves and others to be sent, to share God's words, to share in persecution and in Christ's sufferings, but also to be in His presence eternally, to be raised with him.
