Scripture: Ephesians 6:21-24 - Listen
The conclusion of Jim's sermon series on Ephesians. This as been a most fruitful series. Praise God.

Review of Ephesians: The church finds it identity in Christ alone. We were once enemies of God, at war, but in Christ we are in reconciled with God. (Ch. 4) How do we live in Christ.

Our society focuses on the individual, and it is true that God deals with us as individuals, yet  our practice in living in Christ, in lived together as the church. We cannot be Christians without the church.
Things Paul says about the church cooperating together in Ephesians.

  • We are adopted in the God Family
  • We are heirs of a glorious inheritance
  • We are one with Him
  • We are the Holy Temple
  • We are members of the Body of Christ
  • We are united in bonds of peace
  • We are the bride of Christ.
  • A whole bunch more. I wasn't able to write fast enough. :-)

  1. Our walk with one another is characterized by mutual love and care for one another.
    1. Paul really gave to the Ephesus church. Acts 20. He spent the longest time with them, 2.5 years, of all the church he planted.  The leaders in Acts 20 part with weeping. He was leaving for the final time in physical presence. After this in prison each continued to extol them through correspondence. That is Ephesians. Paul's great love for the church leaps off the page.
