Judges 2 - Sin of a Nation

v. 1-5 The angel of the Lord here gives an indictment to the nation. However, he starts with what God has done. He brought them out from Egypt. He promised to never break his covenant with them. This exposes how absurd it is that they would break their part of the covenant. They had chained themselves to the native people. This put them in conflict with God. (See Numbers 33) "What is this that you have done?" God says. What is crazy is that the god's of the native people were gods of fear, they did no speak.
