John 8:24 - I am he.

Short sermon after the meeting on our new mission statement on the phrase "I am he"
"I am he" v. 24, 28
This phrase is used several times to point out the nature and deity of Jesus.
Used in the O.T.
Exodus 3:13-14 - God's revelation of his name. I AM. This is perhaps the reference.
Isaiah 41:4 - this verse shows the eternal nature of God. Uses the exact phrase "I am he"
Isaiah 43:11-13 - talks of the supremacy of God, deity, his a great work, and his saving nature.
Isaiah 43:25 - God is the one who blots our transgressions.
